Hello, dear gardeners, birdwatchers, and video game lovers! November is such a strange month. On one hand, it feels like nothing is happening, and on the other — I can’t even find the time to write posts!
Leaves are falling, it’s wet and cold, and I, like a bear, struggle with the temptation to just sleep until spring. But what can you do? Even in winter, life goes on, just in a slightly different rhythm—and we keep learning. All our lives. Last week, I learned not to sit on the TV remote!
Lately, I’ve been spending evenings with my family, playing Mario Party on our old console. If you’re looking for a game full of laughter, I highly recommend it! The teenagers have a blast, and my wife and I are not falling behind either.
To fight against the sitting lifestyle, I signed up for the gym together with my son. It’s our shared challenge, and it’s slowly bringing results, though the beginnings were painful! I spend most of my time on the treadmill and exercise bike, but not only that. I also allow myself some strength training. It’s tough, but the satisfaction is guaranteed!
What’s new in the garden? Not much going on right now. Still, as always, I’ve got plans for the future! In the spring, I want to install three raised beds where the old polytunnels used to be. That will be the perfect way to organize the space and prepare a spot for new plants. But no rush — I still have time. I can even get it done at the beginning of next year!
And what am I doing now? I’m watching the birds that visit my little bird corner. Mostly tits and a robin, but recently even a pigeon showed up! Funny how big it looks compared to the other birds. I wonder if it will come back?
A pair of blackbirds also flew in and are starting to boss around the feeder. I’ll have to think about whether to shoo them away, since they scare off the smaller birds. They could easily live side by side, but that’s nature — the law of the strongest!
