What would happen if I just skipped everything and did nothing in the garden on a beautiful sunny day? Especially when the courier dropped off a cute little greenhouse? I’d be sick! This way, I’m only slightly sick with a cold. Success!
Before, right in front of the laundry room window, there was a box of herbs, but I decided to get rid of it. And I did! While salvaging the soil, I discovered it was crawling with grubs. How on earth can something that disgusting ever turn into a beautiful beetle? I have no idea. Maybe it’s a miracle of nature or some revenge from Mother Earth.
Now the herbs will move into pots inside the little greenhouse. That was my better half’s idea! A bit spontaneous, but could be interesting. Unfortunately, the manufacturer didn’t think of putting a mosquito net on the door, so — surprise, surprise — I’ve got another garden project. Lucky me!
We’re also planning to make some sandbags to weigh down the sides. It’s fine as it is, but we want it to be even more fine. All in all, it was a productive — though sniffly — day. And the irony of it all? I’ve got a greenhouse, but no health. Life’s a comedy, just not always with the laughter.
